SISAL DISCUSSION / POLISHING COTON
Opt for sisal / cotton discs high performance, combining rigidity and efficiency for polishing and brushing your metal surfaces.
Sisal / cotton discs: rigidity and performance for polishing and brushing
Robust discs for demanding applications
The sisal / cotton discs are designed to provide optimal stiffness and ensure effective polishing of metal surfaces. Composed of sisal fibres and cotton sewn to 5 mm, they ensure great durability and efficiency, even for the most demanding treatments.
Available in several diameters, these polishing discs adapt to small electro-portable machines as well as workshop turrets. Their concentric sewn structure gives them a suitable hardness to remove scratches and imperfections resulting from machining operations.
Why choose a sisal / cotton disc?
High rigidity : sewn structure for increased resistance
Effective polishing : ideal for stainless steel and other metals
Polyvalence : usable with abrasive pasta for an optimal result
Compatibility of machinery : bores suitable for turrets and portable equipment
Uses of sisal / cotton discs
Polishing of metals and careful finishing
The sisal / cotton discs are widely used for polishing metals, including stainless steel. They eliminate the traces of machining and bring a homogeneous finish to the worked parts. Depending on the type of polishing paste used, it is possible to obtain a rendering from satining to mirror polishing.
Weld brushing and cleaning
Because of their rigidity, these polishing discs are also effective in brushing and cleaning welds, facilitating the removal of residues and oxidations without damaging the underlying material.
Compatibility with different machines
The sisal / cotton discs are designed to be mounted on various equipment:
- Electrical machinery with an axis of 10 mm
- Workshop tours from 200 mm diameter with bores from 20 to 35 mm
- Mandrel systems with adapters available
How to use a sisal / cotton disc?
1 Choose the right disc according to the diameter and thickness required for your application.
2 Add it to a polishing paste adapted to optimize treatment efficiency.
3 Fix it properly on your machine to ensure safe work.
4 Apply moderate pressure and perform regular movements for a homogeneous result.
The sisal / cotton discs can be used dry or with prior impregnation in the factory, thus ensuring better longevity and constant performance over time.
